The Shannon 43, hull number 39 was designed by Walter Schultz and built by the Shannon Boat Company in 1996.The Shannon Boat Company, based in Bristol, Rhode Island has earned an international reputation of quality yacht construction and design since 1975. "Afrodesia" is a semi-custom boat built for actor Morgan Freeman. This classic blue water passage maker is seaworthy and capable of being sailed safely single handed or with a couple. The 43 is a comfortable and spacious boat designed for both long distance passages or coastal cruising. The boat has been continually maintained on the Island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.
